What's new in DartsOn

DartsOn 2.3 brings camera auto-scoring to every game mode and lets you share your matches live. Here is what’s new.

Improved Camera Auto-Scoring

We shipped a new generation of our on-device AI model, so dart detection is faster and more accurate than before. Camera auto-scoring is also no longer limited to X01: Cricket, Around the Clock, Shanghai, Count-Up, Half-It, and all the training modes now score automatically too.

Live Match Sharing

You can now share and livestream your match with a web link that can be opened on any device. Ideal for displaying the game scores on a separate screen.

New Announcer Voices

We added new caller voice packs and improved the announcer system across the board. Callouts now work better in Cricket and other game modes, and voices matching your device language are suggested first.

Around the Clock Variants

Around the Clock got a popular new rule option: hitting a double or triple can now skip you ahead. Enable it in the game settings for a faster and more tactical game.

Better Statistics

• Dart heatmaps are now available in the match summary of every game mode.
• Statistics are saved after every leg, so nothing is lost if a match ends early.

Fixes and Improvements

• Faster app startup and smoother dart score edits.
• Lots of bug fixes and stability improvements across the app.

Camera Auto-Scoring

We’ve spent the last couple of months working on a new on-device AI model to enable camera-based auto-scoring. Now you can create a game, put your phone on a tripod, and DartsOn will do the scoring automatically. In the current version, it’s available only for X01, and we’re working hard to bring it to all other game modes.

Improved Design

We reworked the game creation flow so that you can create games much faster. It now takes just 3 taps to create a new game.

Dart Heatmap

You can now see your dart distribution on a heatmap, making it easier to understand where your throws land most often.

Improved Score Announcers

We’ve reworked the score announcer system so it works much better. You can configure the audio speed, adjust the volume, and more.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

We’ve fixed a lot of bugs along the way, greatly improving the stability of the app.

We made DartsOn’s design simpler, more intuitive, and easier to understand. Everything should still be familiar, but easier to use.

Better Statistics

We completely rebuilt and redesigned statistics so that it gives you even more insights into how you play and helps you improve your game.

Dart Board Score Entry

Another way to enter your scores. Tap and hold for a precise entry and later see the results on a heatmap.

Fixes and Improvements

• We improved our audio system, so all the sounds should work much better now.
• Generally improved performance and stability of the app.

New Game Modes

We’re adding new game modes in addition to existing X01, Cricket and ATC, giving even more options to play. In this release we’re adding:

• Shanghai: Score points by hitting the target number each round. Hit Single, Double, and Triple in one turn for an instant Shanghai win.
• Half It: Start with 40 points, hit assigned targets to score, miss all 3 darts and your score gets halved.
• Round the World: A simplified Around the Clock. Hit 1 through 20 in order, then bull. First to complete the board wins.

Color Themes & App Icons

We’re adding the ability to customise app themes and app icons, so that you can adapt DartsOn to look exactly as you like!

Other Improvements

• Add PPR Chart to Insights: Better way to visualize how you improve your game using the interactive chart on the Insights page.
• Around the Clock custom order: You can change the order in the ATC format now.
